Well, the system does not LOVE internet but they are tolerating it. I actually never have understood why they don't shut it down. May be they are afraid they can't do it. Some two decades ago they tried banning video players and it was a 'crime' if you had it at home: confiscation, prison, fines, etc were the consequences. But the interesting point was that everybody had it actually. The people were 'ok' by the punishments seemingly. :)) Then the system retreated and took off the ban.
So, now, although we 'enjoy' high ranks in number of internet users, the speed of internet is so low. I call it 'kerosene-fueled-internet'. But that's ok. Let's have it; we can deal with the speed.

No,yotube is not filtered yet. Well, you never can be sure of the future. When it is comprehensible why some sites are filtered, some are just a riddle for me:" why this one?". Take flickr for instance. Why it should be filtered?!? Just God knows. Besides, some scientific sites are filtered just by mistake. And more funny to say, even some names are filtered because they have something 'unfavorable' in them. For example, Pornejati which is a surname in Persian can not be googled. Why? Because when written in Farsi, it has common letters with 'Porn' or 'Pornography'. :))
