BOUGAINVILLEA GLABRA

I'm not in Tehran these days and took this picture on my way back my place. This flower is planted both in south and north. The color I've seen mostly are purple and pink. I haven't seen the yellow variety of it except for in flora exhibitions.

Hello,

Very nice Bougainvillea…I've never seen a pink one…the Bougainvilleas I know are purple, red and white…the pink is nicer in my opinion. BTW, Bougainvillea is not a flower. It is a plant. The flowers of the Bougainvillea are very small and white. The pink color that you see belongs to the leaves that called bracts…

Good Day,
Lot

Yes, you are true; they are not flowers. Well, I had read it before and should have known it. Thanks for correcting me.
BTW, have you studied horticulture or something?

Dear Lot,

I didn’t know Bougainvillea was a plant; thanks for sharing your knowledge with us….You must come from the horticulture field!!...

Laila, the picture looks very nice!!…Thanks!

I’ve never seen a Bougainvillea in my life which is a shame since that plant is native to the tropical and subtropical regions of South America from Brazil west to Peru and south to southern Argentina, which means it’s always been under my nose. I guess I should open my eyes wider then ;))…

Regards,

Mariana
